About This Grade
Associate membership recognizes professionals who have started their EHS career and are actively building toward the competency and experience standards of full membership. It’s a working grade; one built for people applying what they’ve learned on the job.
Eligibility
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in occupational health, safety, or environmental management.
- OR successful completion of an IIOEHS-approved foundational program or course, with at least two (2) years of verified professional practice in the field.
Application Process
- Submit a completed Associate Membership application form.
Attach certified copies of academic qualifications and transcripts. - Provide documentation of work experience (letters of employment, job descriptions, or portfolio of work).
- Submit two professional references or letters of recommendation.
- Complete an IIOEHS-approved professional interview or competency verification.
- Receive approval from the Membership Committee and formal induction.
