About This Grade

Full membership is IIOEHS’s core professional grade awarded to practitioners who have demonstrated the qualifications, experience, and competency to practice independently at a professional standard. It’s the grade most working EHS professionals hold.

Eligibility
  • Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or any related discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or safety leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated professional competence, ethical conduct, and contribution to the field through practice, publications, or leadership.
  • Successful completion of the IIOEHS Professional Certification Examination or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Institute.
Application Process
  • Submit the Full Membership application form along with academic qualifications, professional certifications, and a comprehensive CV detailing work experience and achievements.
  • Provide a professional portfolio or project documentation demonstrating safety, health, or environmental impact.
  • Provide two professional references from recognized senior practitioners, academics, or supervisors.
  • Complete a Professional Competency Assessment and/or oral interview conducted by IIOEHS.
  • Application review and approval by the Membership Committee.
